  I whole-heartedly recommend Friendswood Montessori. All three of our children have attended the school (one continues to attend as of 11/2011). Both school age students left Friendswood Montessori reading several grade levels above their peers. There is very little turnover among the staff (the same core has been there for our entire experience). One of my greatest memories is dropping the kids off a bit late and discovering the entire school gathered around the piano as students sang and did hand motions. If there is a weakness, it is that communication is somewhat limited. If you are expecting a written evaluation of your kids day each day - this may not be the place for you. However if you ask while picking them up - they'll be happy to let you know. For me - I would rather have the teachers engaged and involved than muddled in paperwork. They are truly a family and they will always hold a cherished place in ours.

  We started our 3 and 4 year olds at this school in August. It was a bit of a rough start for my 4 year old, with some of the other kids not being so nice... Problems did get resolved after about 2 weeks, and now my children love it here! There are days when they tell me I came to get them too early, cuz they don't want to leave! I love that they get to play outside a lot, sometimes they eat lunch outside too. They definitely learn a lot, they sing a lot, and my 4 year old has started to learn multiplication already! The kids are happy there, they like going there and they do learn a lot. Prices are towards the higher end, but there are places way more expensive too. And I feel like the quality of care is worth the price here.
